Chrysler Auto-Body Line

As a part of my Ph.D. coursework, myslef and a team of students used production data from the Chrysler Plant in Belvidere IL to optimize their auto-body line. We used production control strategies and sensitivity analysis to provide actionable strategies to remove bottlenecks from their production line. Managment reported that they plan to implement our suggestions.

Michigan Concrete Canoe

I was the Captain and President of a multidisciplinary engineering design team dedicated to creating a functional canoe made entirely of concrete. I led a team of approximately 30 engineering students in the design and build process in order to compete at the annual ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition. I led MCCT to their first ever qualification at the National level in the 25 year history of the team.

Molecular Dynamics Simulations

As a part of my Advanced Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics course at UW-Madison, I used python 3 to simulate molecules under periodic boundary conditions and analyze their thermodynamic properties. This project was an introduction to python programming for me and a way to reinforce thermodynamic topics.

Ann Arbor Distilling Company

Competed in an 8 week competition overseen by the University of Michigan Chemical Engineering department and the Ann Arbor Distilling Company. During the competition our team produced a blue gin formulation that was evaluated for potential volume production for the University of Michigan's 200th anniversary. Additionally, as a part of the Distillation of Spirits course, my team designed, produced, and marketed a 'spring rum.' Our rum was voted the best spirit based on taste, innovative design, and marketing by a panel of industry experts and professors.

Dr. Fabiilli Research Group

Investigated strategies for local drug delivery and drug release for the treatment of Crohn's Disease using sonosensitive micro-droplet emulsions. My work focused on the binding affinity of P-Selectin targeted sonosensitive micro droplet emulsions. My contributions and findings support the larger goal of creating a less invasive treatment for Crohn's Disease that is cheaper and involves less side effects.

Underwater ROV

As a part of the Engineering 100 class sponsored by BP, I worked as a part of a team to design an underwater remotely operated vehicle. The vehicle won an award for the fastest time to complete an underwater challenge course.
